Understanding the Core Values Index Report

The Core Values Index psychometric assessment takes about 8 minutes to complete and costs less than $50. It also has the highest repeat reliability rating of any psychometric assessment or personality test on the market today – in fact, nothing else comes close.

When you complete the CVI, you receive a detailed 17-page report that is customized specifically for your particular core values profile. Despite the level of detail and breadth of information provided, your CVI report is easy to understand and provides intuitive and helpful information tailored specifically for you.

Summary Graphs

The report cuts right to the chase by providing two graphs. The first is a quadrant graph showing your relative scores for the four core values: Builder, Merchant, Innovator, and Banker. Each of these core value names correspond to specific types of emotional energy: Power, Love, Wisdom and Knowledge, respectively.

You also receive your scores for six contribution types: Intuitive, Creative, Cognitive, Practical, Independent, and Community.

If these names aren't familiar to you, don't worry. The report describes what each of them mean in common terms and how they relate to the DNA of your specific personality.

Although a free CVI assessment is available, it only shows your quadrant graph without any scores and the report you receive is limited in scope and detail. The full CVI assessment report includes your actual and relative scores and that provides greatest value and personal insight. For example, if your primary core value is 25 or above, it is profound. If one of your scores is below 12, you rarely access that energy. Your weighted energy preferences show the proportional significance of your core value scores, and that information is only available in the full CVI report.

In CVI parlance, most people refer to their scores by stating their primary and secondary core values, such as "I am an Innovator/Banker" or "Merchant/Builder," or "Banker/Merchant," etc.

The second graph represents your four core value scores and six contribution types as vertical graphs. Along with each raw score, you will see the weighted energy preferences between these scores, giving you insight into how each is weighted compared to the other scores.

The next section is a brief video that provides a high level introduction to the Core Values Index assessment, and your primary and secondary core value score in particular. This video is easy to follow and is an excellent way to get started on your road to greater personal understanding and knowledge.

Who I Am

After the introductions, the "Who I Am" section goes into greater detail about your particular primary and secondary core value profile. It describes how your core value energies influence your personality and how you see the world. It also provides insights into how your primary and secondary core value energies interact.

Primary and Secondary Energies

Your CVI report provides even greater detail about your primary core value energy. This is the part of the report that often solicits the response, "How does it know me so well?" from those who take the CVI. It both confirms existing knowledge about you and provides new, valuable insights.

Your report also includes a section that describes the specific challenges you face in life that are part of your primary core value energy. For example:

Innovators are very perceptive and open to change if they see and understand the tensions they cause. They are willing to act differently if they can only see how the different action is going to produce better results.

As a bonus, your report also describes the challenges that are unique to your particular primary and secondary core value energy combination.

Third and Fourth Level Energies

Your core value scores represent the relative weight of four different core value energies. Your full CVI report doesn't stop at your primary and secondary scores, though. It describes the impact your third and fourth level energies have in your life.

Weighted Energy Preferences Graph

Your weighted energy preferences represent powerful insight, and this graph conveys the relationships between your specific scores.

The combination graph provides a lot of information about the weighted energies between your core values and your six contribution types. Are you Intuitive and Community focused? Is your Banker energy dominant over your Builder core value? This chart shows the relationships between your four core value energies and your six contribution types.

Where I Tend to be Vulnerable and Why

We all face situations that make us feel vulnerable, and we respond to those circumstances in ways unique to our particular core value energy profile. This section provides powerful insight about these situations and provides strategies that help guide you forward.

Core Values Learning Styles

Everyone learns new information in their own special way. This learning style is strongly influenced by your specific combination of primary and secondary core value energies. This section provides powerful insight and strategies pertinent to your particular learning style based on your core value energy profile.

Conflict Strategies

Understanding how we react to situations that are counter to our innate, unchanging nature is useful and powerful insight. This section of your full Core Values Index report goes into great detail about how you respond to these situations. Strategies are provided that guide you through them toward greater understanding and more productive interaction with others.
