What Makes a Good Psychometric Assessment?

The hallmarks of a quality psychometric assessment are accuracy and reliability. It will accurately determine, measure, and report the psychometric profile of the individual, and it will produce the same results reliably no matter how many times it is taken.

An implicit characteristic of a quality psychometric assessment, especially regarding its reliability, is the inability of the individual taking it to manipulate or control their results. In other words, the person taking the assessment can't game the system.

Many of the people that take the Core Values Index (CVI) at eRep are job applicants. Employers posting job listings through eRep often require candidates to take the CVI as part of their application and screening process.
