Are You Where You Want to Be?

Did you know that up to 70% of workers are disengaged? 23% are actively disengaged. Another shocking statistic we've seen is that two-thirds of workers think about being in a different job every second.

This tells us that a lot of people are misaligned for their role. They may work for a great employer, but something about the way they are hardwired just doesn't fit their specific job.

The challenge we face is determining the career path that is right for us without going through a tedious slog of trial and error. Guidance counselors in high school do their best to point us in the right direction, but they rarely use the psychometric tools necessary to accurately or effectively recommend our optimal course.

The corporate world has largely embraced the use of psychometric assessments in hiring and placement, and this is a great thing. Unfortunately, the assessments most commonly used have their fair share of inadequacies. Some of their failings are so notorious the whole concept of psychometric assessments has developed a bad reputation with some in the Human Resources space.

Not all psychometric assessments are created equal, however. Big name assessments like Myers-Briggs MBTI rarely exceed 70% repeat reliability, they take a long time to complete, and they often require specialized training to interpret their less-than-intuitive results. This can taint the perceived value of the overall tool category.

The Core Values Index psychometric assessment is different. Yes, it's a cliche to say that, but the data from longitudinal studies backs it up. The CVI stands far above the competition with a 97.7% repeat reliability rating. No other competing assessment even comes close.

This means that when you take the CVI, you can rely on the results.

If you are unhappy in your current role — and the statistics predict that you most likely are — take the Core Values Index assessment. It is inexpensive and takes less than 10 minutes to complete, and the report you receive is customized specifically for you. It is intuitive, insightful, and easy to understand. It is also very thorough, for those who want as much information as possible.

The real benefit you receive when completing your Core Values Index psychometric assessment is you learn how you are hardwired. Are you practical and like to solve problems? Do you love building connections and consensus with others? Do you naturally take the lead and get things done? Is knowledge gathering and sharing where you really shine?

Take the CVI and find out.

You may not learn much about art by taking the Core Values Index psychometric assessment, but you will definitely learn a lot about yourself. That may be the best career move you ever make.
