Description

Hiring for a Septic Technician with a CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement. If you have prior experience in the septic industry maintaining septic systems we want to hear from you! This position consists of maintaining and servicing customers' septic systems and providing inspections based on Oregon State regulations. The job requires physical lifting in excess of 50lbs. Must have good social skills, neat appearance, pass a drug, alcohol and background test.

You'll need to safely navigate traffic while driving a Septic Pumping Truck, have ability to learn and perform equipment pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle, be able to locate septic tank and uncover for service, septic pumping, pump & alarm maintenance, facilitate repairs, time of sale inspections, use of camera locating equipment, other tasks as assigned. We will provide on the job training for these tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

Pickup truck at facility
Safely drive and operate a Septic Truck or service vehicle
Perform pre and post trip inspections
Pumping and hauling of wastewater to our disposal facility
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding job assignments, safety concerns, and project updates.
Perform visual inspections and report findings to client and dispatch
Able to lift/Carry/pull 65+ Pounds
Sit, bend and stand throughout the day
Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and professional conduct at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

Valid Class A or B CDL license (with Tank Endorsement) and a safe, insurable driving record

The ability to drive a manual transmission 10-speed or 18-speed (no manual restriction)

1+ year CDL driving experience necessary

Able to work in confined spaces

Able to lift 50 lbs +

Able to pass a background check and drug testing

Ability to maintain effective relationships with fellow employees, customers and vendors
