Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT Field Specialist to join our Service Delivery department in a hybrid role, working both in our office and at client locations. The Field Specialist will be responsible for setting up desktops and laptops, providing IT support, and ensuring seamless technology operations for our clients.

To succeed in this role, the candidate must be driven, organized and a problem-solver. Strong documentation skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and excellent communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Client Interaction: Work directly with clients, internal staff, and third-party vendors onsite
  • Remote Support: Provide remote assistance from ROBO office for desktop, server, and network issues
  • Desktop and Laptop Setup: Install, configure, and deploy desktops and laptops, ensuring proper hardware and software setup
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate real-time ticket updates and follow internal procedures.
  • On-Site Support: Travel to client locations as needed while also working from the Vancouver, WA office
  • Network Equipment: Install and configure firewalls, switches, and access points
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure comprehensive support and service delivery including project work
  • On-Call Availability: Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required (only once a quarter)

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of recent IT support experience, preferably in an MSP environment
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows (server and desktop), Microsoft Outlook, and Office Suite
  • Hands-on experience with networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Relevant IT certifications preferred (CompTIA A+, Network+)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple priorities
