Description
The Warehouse
Supervisor is responsible for supervising the direct receiving, warehousing,
and distribution operations. In addition, the
Warehouse Supervisor oversees the
efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of a variety of products. Ultimately, this position ensures that
productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running
smoothly and promptly.
Responsibilities

Assign workers
to specific duties, such as verifying amounts of products, storing incoming
products, and assembling customer orders for delivery.

Resolve conflicts that arise among
team members and/or other employees.

Partner with
the Warehouse Manager in the selection, training, coaching, mentoring,
performance evaluation, feedback, and corrective action of staff.

Analyze
processes and make suggestions for productivity improvements.

Schedule
materials being transferred to and from warehouse.

Oversee the
proper receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of customer inventory.

Enforce standard
operating procedures (SOPs) instructions and safety policies.

Collaborate with
Warehouse Manager to manage system of controls to ensure that service levels
and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and
profit parameters.

Maintain and
communicate metrics and standards in accordance with facility and corporate
goals.
- Maintain detailed and accurate
work records.
- Verify specifications of
materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
- Oversee
verification of BOL-s.
- Oversee
general warehouse maintenance duties.
- Maintain and oversee internal ISO compliance as well as
customer-related compliance obligations when needed.
- Perform
other duties as required.
