Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our company's day-to-day accounting and financial tasks. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling bank statements, processing transactions, and preparing financial reports in accordance with established procedures.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper classification of all financial transactions

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process

  • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts, ledgers, and journals

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts monthly

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and payroll (if applicable)

  • Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports

  • Support the annual audit process

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and accounting best practices

  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial data

  • Qualifications

    Proven bookkeeping experience (typically 2+ years)

  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar

  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Knowledge of payroll processing is a plus
