Responsibilities
Setup and operate CNC lathes, mills, EDM's and other precision manufacturing equipment
-Evaluate tooling, processes and materials
-Evaluate and choose cutting tools for specific materials and processes
-Understand feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts
-Knowledgeable of material properties
-Knowledgeable of layout and machining procedures
-Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
-Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards
-Other duties as assigned
-Work performed in a shop environment
-Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils
