We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The

ideal candidate will be detail oriented, experienced in the measurement of precision parts,

knowledgeable of Quality Management Standards including ISO 9001 and AS9100 and possess

strong analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills to ensure quality standards are being

met.


Responsibilities

- Inspect precision machined or formed parts using calibrated hand tools, optical

comparator and CMM to verify compliance to specifications, drawings and other

established acceptance criteria.

- Visually inspect parts for compliance to cosmetic and other criteria.

- Program, set up and operate Zeiss CMM using Calypso software.

- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and generate inspection reports, non-

conformance records, certifications etc.

- Maintain inspection data using forms, Solidworks Inspection software, and MS Excel

spreadsheets as needed.

- Create and maintain detailed inspection plans.

- Participate in root cause and corrective action processes to minimize risk and increase

quality.

- Fluorescent Dye Penetrant Inspection.

- Collaborate with CNC Machinists, Engineering and Management to identify and develop

inspection plans.

- Maintain internal and outsourced calibration of precision instruments.

- Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

What experience and training do you need?

- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Inspector/ Quality Control position, preferably in a

precision machining or manufacturing environment.

- Extremely detail oriented and focused on maintaining high quality standards.

- Proficient in the use of basic inspection hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth

gages, dial indicators, gage pins, thread gages, etc.

- Experience in the use of optical comparators, microscopes and other electronic

measurement equipment.

- Proficient in operation of CMM, preferably using Calypso software.

- Able to interpret detailed drawings and blueprints including GD&T.

- Basic computer skills to complete FAI-s, inspection reports and certifications using ERP

software, Excel and other software as needed.

- Ability to visually inspect product and detect differences in color of many material types,

including small differences in shade.

- Ability to work overtime as necessary to meet customer deadlines.

- Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 organization.
