Excavation Estimator Share:

Responsibilities

*Meets with existing and new customers in order to provide estimates for work

*Respond to Opportunities within 24 hours excluding weekends and holidays (unless emergency job)

*Utilize company software to develop estimates for customers

*Follow Procedure: Sales Team Bid Review

*Ensures that estimates are profitable and can be performed efficiently by Lovett

*Works to identify new customers or new areas of work that Lovett can perform

*Promote and maintain customer relationships

* Deliver clear communication even when under pressure, stress and deadlines

*Work with the Lovett team to ensure quality and profitable execution of projects

*Attend job setup meetings, sales meeting and others as assigned

*Works closely with the Sales Director 

*Report weekly jobs that have been sold with signed contracts

*Report weekly completed jobs billing status

*Report weekly on-going jobs billing status

*Practice and promote decision-making based on the company-s Code of Conduct.

*Complete daily paperwork or reports as required.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Qualification: Include but are not limited to;

*3+ years estimating excavation/ground work

*5+ years in excavation and site prep work 

*Ability to read blue prints

*General mathematics used in the construction and excavation industry

*Ability to work with vendors, sub-contractors, material suppliers for best pricing on jobs

*Ability to prioritize and manage multiple task and deadlines

*Strong organizational skills, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills

*Provide excellent customer service, listen and understand the needs of customers

*General knowledge of operating a computer and computer programs such as Outlook, Excel and Word
