Description
Established Small Local Artisan Food Manufacturer is looking to hire our next great team member. We are looking for a Route Delivery and Business Development Manager who has the deep desire to assist us in growing our Farm to Family food production business. Purpose is to develop stakeholder relationships from growers to gourmet gift shops to support the eat local/buy local food economy. We are searching for that one person who brings the relationship skills and drive to introduce our fine Oregon Made Products to new markets and expand existing relationships. Someone who can leverage over 30+ years of innovative product development to build profitable and rewarding sales routes. We are looking for that someone who can also ensure that we deliver what we say will deliver, develop customer relationships through listening to the customer and adjust when needed to meet the customer-s requests. If you have the skills to help our customers through the design of customized profit centers for customers who sell the jams, syrups, dressings, chutneys, salsa, dry packaged food items and generally get things done, then we would like to talk with you. Compensation for this position is $24,000 base salary plus bonuses, commissions, and incentives..Responsibilities
Primarily responsible for calling existing customers, order taking and delivering product (some overnight travel required); Research, develop sales strategy and develop business plan to grow market share. Responsible for contacting and connecting with customers on a daily basis. Must meet sales goals for increasing sales, some cold calling required. Recording and tracking sales and product movement. Will be responsible for loading product into vehicle for delivery. Will be responsible for daily activities using Word and Excel. Understanding the basics of sales: rapport building, listening, problem-solving, follow through know and understand all product SKU codes; know and understand all prices; input in development and design of new products; input in marketing and point of sale material; responsible for working with and training new personnel in the area of sales.Qualifications
Two years of college, vocational training or solid experience in the food industry. Must be able to work with people and adjust to different personalities. Must have a passion for food; be able to think on your feet ; good hand eye coordination. Requires lifting of up to 70 lbs. A positive work attitude= good work ethics, an overachiever characteristic is a plus. Must have clean driving record. Must have good communication skills. Must be a fast learner and take pride in your work, and be detail oriented. Must be proficient with Word and Excel. Culture Fit -Good hygiene -Non Smoker-NO drugs.
