TDJ CPA was founded in 1998 in Vancouver, WA and since then we have focused on delivering comprehensive governmental financial reporting and accounting solutions. TDJ CPA is recognized as the primary governmental accounting firm for Washington State local governments.

Job Overview: Our Firm is looking for a problem-solving and organized CPA with experience in governmental accounting to join our close-knit, high-performing team. This is a remote position working directly with clients via phone, email, and online. The preference would be for this person to live in the Vancouver area, but it is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements for governmental clients
Perform reconciliations and analysis of accounts
Assist with governmental accounting engagements
Provide technical accounting support, including payroll and compliance guidance
Communicate directly with clients in a professional and responsive manner to deliver clear, helpful insight
Collaborate with a remote team using tools like Microsoft Office, Dropbox, SharePoint, and Canopy to ensure timely client deliverables
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely client deliverables

Qualifications

Active CPA license (or pending)
Governmental accounting experience preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills
Successfully worked independently in home office
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word (QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Yardi preferred)
Comfortable balancing multiple projects and deadlines as client needs evolve
Growth mindset and willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and deadlines
