Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing and
processing accounts payable and account reconciliations. This includes invoice
entry, check requests, check disbursements, bank reconciliations, credit cards
and other items, as needed. An ideal candidate will have construction
accounting experience or a basic understanding of construction processes. The Accounts Payable Clerk will work on-site at our office in Prineville, OR and expected to work approximately 30 + hours per week at this time.

Responsibilities
- Processes accounts payable
invoices daily.
- Receive order packing slips and
receipts to match up with invoices.
- Investigates accounts payable
invoices discrepancies or other issues as necessary.
- Reviews accounts payable aging on
a consistent basis and works with supervisor on weekly check runs.
- Communicates (both in verbal and
written form) with the accounting department, suppliers and vendors, as
needed.
- Enter and maintain vendor account
information.
- Prepares appropriate schedules
and reports as requested.
- Prepare Bank Statements for
reconciliation.
- Manages credit card processes and
collects receipts.
- Reconciles Credit Card
Statements.
- Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in accounts payable or
similar roles, preferably in the construction industry. Associate's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
Skills:
- Proficient computer user with experience in Microsoft
Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Basic knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with
the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time
management skills.
- Ability to problem-solve.
