The Project Technician is responsible for strategically and efficiently designing and completing technology solutions for our clients including server deployments, cloud migrations, and network infrastructure configuration.  The Project Technician will work with our business consultants to assess, plan, and build proposals for projects to be approved by clients in great detail with an accurate understanding of the costs.  Planning, details, and execution strategy are critical to these designs.  Once approved, project execution must be completed in a timely and efficient manner with attention to detail and clear documentation and communication to our service department. 

The primary contribution of the Project Technician at Velox Systems is to design and implement business solutions for clients. This position requires discernment, people skills, communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects. The PT will keep their schedule organized and keep clients informed. This person will have a high technical aptitude, business acumen, and project management background. The PT will carefully document projects and procedures and train Service Desk Technicians accordingly. To be successful in this role, the PT will be a detail-oriented problem solver who intuitively sees client issues and helps them solve them.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement solutions for clients
  • Client tech assessments - Perform reviews of client-s infrastructure for ongoing strategy development and improvements.
  • Time management - Maintain and Update Project Calendars and Gantt charts, Review all Projects before completion and sent to billing
  • Manage client expectations
  • Documentation & Training
