Description

Milestone Property Management is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager with solid experience in overseeing the accurate and efficient operation of property management accounting systems to ensure that the financial accounts of the organization meet the highest standards.

Compensation is $65,000 to $80,000 annually plus performance bonuses, with full benefits including: 100% group medical, dental, vision; life insurance; paid holidays, sick and personal time off.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all property financials, multifamily & single family home accounting & reporting
  • Mortgage and bank reconciliations
  • Produce monthly financial reports
  • Review operating monthly expenses, AP & AR with CEO & VP
  • Processing CAPEX requests, tracking spend and capitalize assets as required
  • Oversee cash receipts, customer invoices and statements, and maintain complete and accurate accounts receivable records
  • Oversee the processing of vendor billings and payments, and maintain complete and accurate accounts payable records
  • Ensure all journal entries are completely and accurately entered
  • Ensure complete and accurate general ledger accounts and reconciliations
  • Ensure accurate general ledger account coding and classification
  • Provide necessary financial statements and reports
  • Process payroll and proper billback allocations
  • Coach, train, monitor, and supervise accounting staff
  • Backup office manager & property staff accountant
  • Work with compliance on collections and proper state reporting
  • Monthly office & expense report processing for onsite staff
  • Complete move-in and move-outs
  • Process 1099-s, collect w9-s, file annual and quarterly taxes
  • Provide support to all other departments within the company
