Director
of Operations provides direct oversight to Managers of Materials, Operational Improvement,
Production, Engineering and Field Service. This individual is the single point
of responsibility for all production operations including the development and
implementation of best-in-class systems to accommodate 50% YOY growth (2022P $120M
annual). They also champion, promote, and model BASX articulated culture with a
focus on maximizing human capital efficiency.
Responsibilities

Develop executable strategies to accommodate growth including facility
growth, equipment acquisitions, and third-party relationships, supported by
financial analysis consistent with the mission and strategy of the company.

Identify fundamental deficiencies in operations and implement
sustainable strategies to correct key causes.

Provides critical focus on achieving or surpassing projected gross
profit margins.

Collaboratively cultivate an environment of operational excellence with
a companywide commitment to continuous improvement, quality and meeting
customer commitments

Be a driving force in the promotion of the company culture with a focus
on maximizing human capital and reducing worker fatigue.

Define performance metrics/KPI-s for measurement, comparison and
evaluation of operations to consistently deliver on BASX mission to provide
industry leading customer service and employee satisfaction.

Lead weekly group meeting with DR-s to evaluate performance against plans
and ensure complete and effective communication. (2 hours a week)
-
Individual weekly meeting with DR-s to mentor and discuss work
execution and leader/manager effectiveness. (4 hours a week)

Weekly meeting with Director of Administration to ensure cross
departmental collaboration and communication (1 hour a week)

Provide critical counsel to Production Manager relating to production
planning and daily production meetings ensuring a robust and effective process
exists. Participate in meetings as required providing leadership direction and
escalation path for challenge resolution (1 hour a day)

Proactive, continuous assessment of operations processes to ensure
adequate systems and controls exist to promote the timely and accurate flow of
information occurs companywide (16 hours a week to start, 8 hours a week steady
state)

Provide quarterly updates regarding operational strategy. This includes assessments focused on
production performance, facility requirements, equipment investments, and
organizational structure. (8 hours a month)

Prior to Senior Leadership Team meeting, collaborate with direct reports
to identify and provide formal monthly reporting on administrative KPI-s along
with critical assessment of results and recommendations for improvement on or
by the 10th of the month. (4 hours a month)

Lead monthly meetings with Director of Administration and key team
members to develop and execute key growth initiatives for production functions.
(4 hours a month)

Participate on Senior Leadership Team with reporting on operations
functions, including implications across all departments. (4 hours of prep and 8
hours meeting)

Analyze financial data, recognize, and study trends to formulate ways
to expand capacity and decrease operational costs. (4 hours a month)

Provide critical assessment of facility needs based on company
direction and growth trajectory, develop and oversee implementation capital
plans and facility expansion needs as approved by President (10 hours a month)
- Collaborate with partner facilities to execute multi-site manufacturing as needed based on critical evaluation of capacity and capabilities ensuring end user product maintains quality and performance standards (8 hours a month)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in operations management, engineering, business or related field.

10 years progressive leadership experience in manufacturing

Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous
improvement.

High-level leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to influence a wide variety of stakeholders through clear and compelling communication.
