MISSION:  Homestead Community Pharmacy is currently searching for one full-time, Florida licensed Pharmacist-in-charge/CEO to work in an independent pharmacy focused on patient care.  The mission for this role is to verify compounded prescriptions, communicate with doctors and patients as needed to provide exceptional service. 

 

The ideal candidate is a problem solver, a team player, committed, honest, empathetic, and accountable. The Pharmacist-in-charge/CEO ensures that safe, efficient, and cost-effective drug therapy is provided to our customers. He or she will be responsible for coordinating all activities of the pharmacy and overseeing all compounding of prescriptions.

Responsibilities

Basic responsibilities

 

Coordinating and relaying information from and between staff members 

Ensuring the availability of pharmaceuticals and supplies for each shift 

Coordinating the orientation and participating in the induction process of new personnel 

Providing guidance, direction, and training to pharmacy associates 

Maintaining professional knowledge, skills, and competence in areas of responsibility 

Identifying new opportunities to improve existing systems 

Reviewing and approving prescriptions to be filled by pharmacists 

Making professional assessments and interventions in cases of drug allergies, potential drug interactions, and duplication 

Communicating to patients in a clear and understandable manner drug regimen recommendations for all prescriptions 

 

Extended responsibilities

 

Sets daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly budgets with Founder/Chairman  

Follows up with progress on a 3-year vision  

Meets up with Sales and Marketing team on a weekly and monthly basis  

Makes sure the company meets all regulatory obligations on a monthly basis  

Runs risk assessments and plans for vulnerabilities or inefficiencies of company and staff members  

Maintains and grows a minimum 10% year over year revenues as well as 10 % Net revenue 

Hires new staff according to our values/ culture system  

Compares actual numbers to the existing budget on a weekly and monthly basis using our Scorecard book 

Qualifications


Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy 

B.S. or Pharm. D. In addition, MBA is preferred 

1-2+ years experience in Retail pharmacy practice is preferred 

Licensed in Florida and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy 

Leadership skills to elicit cooperation and support from assigned pharmacist and support staff 

Ability to communicate with all levels of health care professionals 

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when filling prescriptions 

Experience with Allergic Reactions, Therapeutic Interventions, and Compounding Medications 

In-depth knowledge of controlled substance Inventory 

Knowledge of pharmacy insurance plans 

Proficient in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Positive attitude

The drive and ability to learn new areas within the pharmacy
