Description
To support the central Liberty Church Tavares vision by creating a growth plan specific to the community of retirees &/or seniors; and fully executing that plan. This position will create a weekly program, content and Bible Study to facilitate connection & growth for the Senior community. Transfer the great skill set of event planning (annual BBQ) into more Senior community events. The 2023 goals are: 1) 20% attendance growth, 2) have 5 new Senior life groups in 5 different local senior communities. 3) increased memberships/decisions for Christ, and 4) measurable increased tithing and volunteer hours. Show growth in Church Planner CRM.
Responsibilities
Create an offical Seniors Kickoff event, that will lead to an official weekly corporate gathering for these attendees on campus.
Create annual schedule, oversee, & run monthly Seniors' outing. Create & run annual Seniors' BBQ/Cookoff event.
Create a regular process for "Senior Spotlights," and means of pushing to social media & church website.
Associate pastoral care duties of visitations
Identify & develop potential leaders from within Senior life groups.
Identify & develop volunteers from Senior attendee population.
Use Church Planner to benchmark Senior population (& find data person to delegate this to), including number of life groups, new membership or converts, tithing & volunteer hours.
Attend weekly staff team meetings, and meet with Lead Pastor Greg to adjust plan, overcome obstacles, & get help.
