HMK Company provides Program and Project Management services to Oregon School Districts. We are a strength-based, multi-disciplined team of construction professionals who are passionate about providing high quality Owner Project Management services from Concept to Completion for school districts. With experience working with over 95 Oregon and 15 Washington School Districts, we have built upon repeat customers returning to us for their project management needs continuing the legacy we want to leave for the communities we serve.
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented and task-driven Project Accountant with a project construction background. The Project Accountant must meet regularly with each Project Manager to reconcile client budgets and ensure accuracy and compliance. This position is located in our Albany, Oregon office with minimal travel once or twice a month.
This position builds confidence and trust in the accounting process for our numerous School District clients and Project Managers, eliminating the financial risks in our work, resulting in satisfied clients. The right candidate will be trust-worthy, efficient, effective and urgent to complete the required functions of the position each month.
Responsibilities
- Schedule regular monthly meetings with Project Managers to reconcile budgets
- Reconciliation of School Districts AP in HMK system for up to 50 ongoing projects
- Input of budget information into monthly project reports for School District clients
- Monthly project time reports for invoicing
- Monthly expense reports
- Support project level teams with managing their specifically assigned project budgets
- Interaction and communication with the Project Administrator and Contract Specialist
- Some minor travel required (Southern Oregon once or twice a month)

- Must have some project construction accounting experience
- Must be focused on the details and numbers-oriented
