Position: Project Manager 

Bar Seven A Companies is a well-established, three generation family-owned construction company in Redmond, Oregon. Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following

 

-      Manage construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout handling all components of project specific administrative work.

-      Read, understand, and execute contracts on behalf of the company as well as administer subcontracts or purchase orders on behalf of the company for construction projects.

-      Schedule and plan projects to determine milestones and/or required deadlines and make sure necessary resources to achieve those dates are obtained and in place.

-      Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors and/or suppliers prior to and during construction to maintain a smooth project with on time supply and work execution.

-      Coordinate and communicate closely with project foreman to ensure a smooth project and necessary items are in place in front of the crew for work to run efficiently.

-      Coordinate and communicate with project owners to ensure a smooth project and keep up to date with change orders, schedule changes or unforeseen issues that arise during construction.

-      Plan and implement traffic control plans for construction projects.

-      Keep up to date schedules, budgets and forecasts for projects and determine changes that may need to take place if necessary, to improve upon these items.

-      Determine whether requested work during a project is covered under contract or if it is beyond the scope of the contract and a change order is necessary.  Draft and execute change orders.

-      Closeout projects making sure all as built drawings are intact and provided, all change orders have been agreed upon and/or paid, all subcontracts and/or material purchase orders have been paid and all work has been satisfactorily accepted by the governing agency and the owners.

-      Monitor and manage project budget.

Qualifications

Experience Required

-      Prior management experience in construction industry

-      Ability to read and understand construction plans/blueprints

-      General understanding of construction projects, work that takes place on construction sites and sequence of tasks to take place on projects

-      Project budgeting

-      Project scheduling

-      Leading crews or teams

-      Experience with Microsoft Project and Excel beneficial, but not required.

 

This position is a salaried full-time work with benefits. Income DOE.
