Position Description
We are looking for a detailed, accurate and reliable
Estimator to drive profitable business growth.
The right candidate will gather all pertinent information and data
needed to provide complete, profitable and timely estimating with desired
margins. It is important to build and
maintain key relationships with subcontractors and partners which are critical to achieving the
desired outcomes of the Estimating department.
This is not just a desk role, it is necessary to see the job and walk
the site in order to produce the best result for our clients and our business. The ideal candidate will look to grow and
develop into a Sr. Estimator and be a long-term contributor for the company.
Responsibilities
- Proactive in completing estimates on-time (more than 1 per week)
- Accurately estimate project costs and timelines
- Focused on all aspects of potential projects
- Communicate project details and expectations to the foreman, subs and team
- Ability to ask the right questions and gather the correct information
- Prioritize responsibilities in order to manage several projects simultaneously
- Must be flexible to customer requests
- Walk the job sites
Qualifications
- 2
years of Estimating Experience
- Civil
Engineering or Excavation experience preferred
- Task-driven
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented
