Position Summary: The vCIO is the main point of contact with our customers and responsible for maintaining and building upon strategic partnerships to help drive their technology needs forward. The vCIO needs to learn and understand each client's goals and objectives and help them to meet these demands. This role is accountable for establishing a technology budget and strategic roadmaps for customers that reduce business risk and facilitate technology improvements across the Organization. Although not a true sales role, this person must be comfortable presenting and closing large solutions and projects to our business clients. There is an aspect of Business development that is incorporated into this position with the ability to earn additional compensation in the forms of bonuses and commissions.

This job is based in the Rochester, MN area with the ability to work from your home office or corporate office with travel around the city throughout the week to visit customers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular onsite Technology Business Reviews with customers
  • Maintain frequent phone and email contact with customers, building relationships
  • Develop, plan and execute a strategic roadmap profile for each customer
  • Design and present technology proposals with decision-makers
  • Establish clear and precise business and alignment objectives for each customer
  • Maintain customers' technology budgets
  • Provide a high level of customer and user satisfaction
  • Deliver accurate reports and metrics to Company management on the status and performance of Company tools and applications
  • Provide regular project reviews and report to the Vice President, as required
  • Implement, participate and promote Quality Assurance (QA) objectives, processes, and procedures of the company

Qualifications

  • Advanced qualifications in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • Ability to quote, present and close IT solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT and telecommunications infrastructure, hardware, and software applications
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of network and server/workstation operating systems
  • Demonstrated history of strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • High-level organizational, project management, coordination, and prioritization skills
  • Able to work well both independently
  • A high degree of confidentiality and punctuality
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Awareness of and ability to work following Company Policies and Procedures

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Maintenance of an up-to-date vCIO playbook
  • # of unique client touches as set by the Vice President
  • # of Technology Business Reviews as appointed by the Vice President
  • Budget and strategic Customer planning for 1-3 years in advance
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Satisfactory achievement of ongoing targets, goals, and objectives as set by the Vice President
  • Accuracy of work undertaken, information and advice provided
  • Following, utilizing, and promoting Company Policies and Procedures
  • Following instructions and completing tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner meeting the requirements of the company, client, and regulatory standards
