Position Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Tier 2 IT Support Specialist to join our growing MSP. Based in Austin with a hybrid work model, you'll support desktops, networks, and servers, both remotely from our office (80%) and on-site with clients (20%). This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering high-quality IT services.

The role requires working from our office located in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Client Interaction: Work directly with clients, internal staff, and third-party vendors
  • Remote Support: Provide remote assistance for M365, desktop, server, and network issues via phone and remote access tools
  • Hardware support: Deploy, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers and related IT hardware
  • Documentation: Document real-time ticket updates and follow internal procedures
  • On-Site Support: Be available to travel on-site to various clients while working from ROBO headquarters in Austin
  • Network Equipment: Setup and install firewalls, switches, and access points
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure comprehensive support and service delivery including project work
  • Be available for participation in after-hours or on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of recent experience in IT support, preferably within an MSP environment
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed with valid Driver's license
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, including Office apps, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams as well as Windows (desktop and server) and Entra ID
  • Experience with networking equipment including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Certifications in IT is highly preferred (A+ Certified, Network+)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused attitude
