Position Summary:

ROBO is seeking a Network & Systems Engineer to join our high-performing service desk team. This Tier 3 role is ideal for a seasoned technician who thrives on solving complex technical issues, enjoys mentoring junior staff, and is comfortable both behind a screen and on-site with clients. As the escalation point for advanced tickets, you'll handle deep troubleshooting across networks, firewalls, servers, and cloud platforms. You'll also contribute to client infrastructure projects and help ensure our service delivery remains fast, effective, and professional. This position is based at our Austin HQ, with occasional travel to local client sites. A hybrid schedule with remote work on Mondays and Fridays may be available depending on performance and team needs. Responsibilities

  • Act as Tier 3 escalation for complex service desk tickets
  • Troubleshoot on-site and remote network issues, including routing, switching, and wireless
  • Maintain and support core infrastructure systems, including Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and MS 365
  • Troubleshoot client applications and/or software specific platforms
  • Deploy and support firewall and network security solutions (e.g., Sophos, WatchGuard, Cisco, Ruckus, UniFi)
  • Participate in client IT projects such as infrastructure deployments, network upgrades, and cloud implementations
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 team members
  • Collaborate with the service desk to improve technical knowledge and elevate service delivery
  • Accurately document work, configurations, and changes within all ROBO systems and tools
  • Be available for participation in an after-hours on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications

  • MSP experience is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with common MSP toolsets (HaloPSA, Ninja RMM, LogicMonitor, ITGlue, Threatlocker, Sophos) is preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a Tier 3 or senior technical support role
  • Strong knowledge of networking (VLANs, routing, firewalls, wireless)
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Azure AD
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V or VMware)
  • Certifications such as: Network+, CCNA, Microsoft (MCP, MCSA, etc.)
  • Task-driven, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized with strong documentation habits
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local client sites
