C A Rowles Engineering & Design was founded in Central Oregon in 2004.  We are a Civil Engineering & Building Design firm located in Bend, specializing in building design, land use planning, and civil engineering.  Projects big and small - from churches to subdivisions, and everything in between.  Our staff holds professional engineering licenses in Oregon, Idaho and California with over 75 years of combined experience and 1200 projects completed.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the scope the work based on field/site visits and conversations
  • Develop a scope of work via templates, identifying potential challenges or issues
  • Know the right questions to ask
  • Gather and document all critical information
  • Must be able to draw and design in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar
  • Analyze and review data from Utilities and Governing Authorities
  • Code and permit research
  • Permit and submittals, managing the process and follow-up to verify completion
  • Ability to relate to clients and build trust
  • Must be willing to visit jobs sites (not just a desk job) and have a pulse on the project
  • Observe construction process ensuring conformance with design plans and compliance

Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineers only (or able to obtain a license within 6 months)
  • Must know AutoCAD or equivalent 
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Civil Engineering
  • Must be able to go out to the projects and walk the sites
  • Experience in subdivision layout, water, sewer and street design; grading and drainage design; site plan design
