AMP Services is a fast growing, full business outsourcing company in restaurant accounting and business solutions. We primarily service multi-unit restaurant and retail companies. Staff Accountant

RESULTS EXPECTED IN THIS POSITION

Makes financial decisions by collecting, tracking, correcting. and communicating the financial positions of client companies. Oversees payables, receivables, performs ledger work, produces financial information and cash flow reports, and provides full function staff accounting work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mid-level general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors. 
  • Ensures invoices are paid by verifying transaction information; scheduling disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment. 
  • Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; oversees receivables and invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments. 
  • Prepares financial reports such as balance sheets and profit and loss statements by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. 
  • Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions. 
  • Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions. 
  • Prepares cash management reports used by clients. Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments. 
  • Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls. 
  • Complies with all AMP, local, state, and federal accounting regulations. 
  • Maintains financial historical records. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
  • Performs general cost accounting and other related accounting duties.
  • Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations for period closing process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
