Leading Light Accountancy - Tax Manager position

Leading Light Accountancy (formerly Davis & Associates) is a dedicated CPA Firm with 15+ years of experience in accounting, tax strategy, business planning, forecasting, and implementing financial systems with a focus on how to improve profit and loss.We have proven talent for aligning business objectives with comprehensive accounting knowledge to achieve maximum company initiatives, conserve time and boost efficiencies.

Summary position

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Tax Manager to run the Tax portion of our Firm. This person-s work will allow for the President of the Firm to continue to grow the already very successful business and add new clients. This role is expected to be the tax expert and fulfill all of the Firm's tax work both individually and with the team. There is flexibility to work hybrid or remote during certain times of the year if needed.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review client tax work
Client billing and explanation of services - decide how much to bill with descriptions
Record client information in time and billing system
Client support and follow-up (email, phone and in-person)
Manage 1 or 2 tax accountants
Know and understand the tax software programs and be able to answer questions
Stay current on tax codes and changes

Qualifications

CPA experience is required
Trust & Estate experience is required
5+ years of tax manager experience is required
5+ years of tax preparation experience is required
Continuing education is required
Broad tax experience preferred (Corporate, Partnership, Individual)
