Description

Established Small Local Artisan Food Manufacturer is looking to hire our next great team member. We are looking for a Food Production Specialist who has the desire to infuse into our products the same Farm to Family high quality we have for the past 30+ years. We are searching for that one person who brings the creative passion for continuing the heritage that has defined our fine Oregon Made Products. Someone who can take the recipes that we have developed over 30+ years of precise innovation and transform them into the products we make by paying attention to detail. We are looking for that someone who can also ensure that we deliver what we say we can deliver, listen to the customer and adjust when needed to meet the customer's requests. If you have the skills to manufacture and pack jams, syrups, dressings, chutneys, salsa, dry packaged food items and generally get things done then we would like to talk with you. Responsibilities

Understand the basics of cooking. Know and understand all recipes. In charge of planning production and set-up; responsible for maintenance and upkeep of production area. Maintain and monitor proper inventory levels for ingredients and raw materials. Know and understand all product SKU codes. Primarily responsible for making and packing the actual product (this is physical work) .Responsible for working with and training new personnel in the area of production. Recording and tracking production outputs Input in development and design of new products Will be responsible for daily activities using Word and Excel. Must be dependable, good communicator, team player and accountable for results.

Qualifications

Two years of college or vocational training or solid experience in the food industry/ Must have a passion for food. Must be able to think on your feet. Good hand eye coordination Requires lifting of up to 70lbs, and standing for good % of the day.  A positive work attitude with good work ethic. Must have good communication skills.  Must be a fast learner and take pride in your work. Must be proficient with Word and Excel.  Culture Fit  means you enjoy creative problem solving, You are self-motivated and a team player -you have a collaborative mind set with  strong sense of accountability.
