Responsibilities

Responsible for the programming, setting up and troubleshooting of CNC lathes, mills, EDM's and other precision manufacturing equipment. Program, setup and operate CNC lathes, mills and EDM's Evaluate tooling, processes and materials Evaluate and choose cutting tools for specific materials and processes Understand feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts Knowledgeable of material properties Knowledgeable of layout and machining procedures Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications Assist in developing new products and processes Identify, recommend and implement machining process improvements Specify, order and maintain tools needed for machine shop production Oversee storage, management and maintenance of machining tooling inventory Organize and maintain CNC program files Keep work area clean and free of safety hazards Other duties as assigned Work performed in a shop environment Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils

Qualifications

Associate of Applied Science in CNC Technology or equivalent experience Read and write English
