Position Description

We are looking for a detailed, accurate and reliable Estimator to drive profitable business growth. The right candidate will gather all pertinent information and data needed to provide complete, profitable and timely estimating with desired margins. It is important to build and maintain key relationships with subcontractors and partners which are critical to achieving the desired outcomes of the Estimating Dept. This is not just a desk-role, it is necessary to see the job and walk the site in order to produce the best results for our clients and our company. The ideal candidate will look to grow and develop into a Sr. Estimator and be a long-term contributor for N8 Excavation. Salary dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities

Proactive in completing estimates on-time (multiple estimates per week)
Accurately estimate project costs and timelines
Take offs and software based estimation (heavy bids and ad tech)
Communicate project details and expectations to the Foreman, Subs and Team
Ability to ask the right questions and gather the correct information
Prioritize responsibilities in order to manage several projects simultaneously
Must be flexible to customer requests
Walk the job sites

Qualifications

2 years of successful Estimating experience - in the excavation industry is preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction plans
Ability to operate Heavy Bids and Agtek software preferred
Strong work ethic, willing to work long days when needed
Demonstrate positive attitude
References: 2 character, 2 professional
