Do you love your job?

If not, you may be like 119 million other workers in the U.S. that share something in common: you've put your job into the friend zone.

Does this sound familiar? You show up, do enough work to keep from getting into trouble or raising red flags, your employer pays you, and at the end of the day your thoughts are anywhere but there.

This scenario is surprisingly common. According to Gallup, 70% of workers are disengaged in their current role, and up to 23% are actively disengaged. This represents 93% of the workforce that are unhappy in their job. [1]

What is the solution? Like trying to save a broken marriage, can your relationship with your current job become a vocational joy rather than a place you forget about the moment your workday ends?

Hope can come, but information must come first.

Are you and your job compatible?

The first thing you must do is find out if you and your role are in sync. Everyone has their preferred working style, their unique blend of 11 perspectives and communication methods. If the way you interact with others and tackle problems jives with the needs of the job, there is hope.

Imagine an assessment tool that works like a dating site to match applicants with available jobs. This tool would analyze the needs of each role and convert that into a mathematical score. Applicants would use the same tool to mathematically score how they are hardwired. These scores are compared to determine compatibility.

With a system like this, you'd be right to guess that high matches between role and applicant scores creates wonderful working relationships.

These relationships become the kind of legendary occupational marriages we all admire like Steven Spielberg in filmmaking or Jane Goodall in primatology.

The applicant's assessment tool would need to be straightforward and not overly complicated. It would also need to be fast. Who has time or money to spend a day in a psychologist's office getting evaluated and mentally probed and prodded? Most importantly, the applicant assessment tool must be both accurate and complete.

On the role side, the tool must not only be accurate, it needs to be realistic. The parameters of the job need to be prioritized and thoroughly analyzed without requiring a burdensome process.

Both the role and applicant assessment tools must convert their results into a consistent numerical score that can be compared. They must speak the same language.

Do these tools exist?

Yes. The applicant tool is called the Core Values Index psychometric assessment, and the role profiling tool is called the Top Performer Profile™, or TPP. The output of a TPP can be mathematically compared to applicant CVI scores to produce a ranked value. High matches indicate a greater likelihood of applicant success in the role.

The CVI is insanely easy to use. It only takes an applicant about 8 minutes to complete the assessment. It is also extremely accurate and reliable. In fact, the Core Values Index has the highest repeat reliability of any psychometric assessment on the market today, 97.7%.

Top Performer Profiles produce a scored output for a role that defines the ideal CVI characteristics applicants should have to succeed in that job. When applicants with highly matched CVI scores are hired according to the job's TPP score, they are up to 200% more productive and experience 50% or lower turnover.

They also experience substantially more job satisfaction and overall happiness.

Isn't that what they call a win-win scenario?

This isn't just pie-in-the-sky fantasy. These tools are available today at eRep.com, they are cost-effective, and they give employers the ability to build rock star teams of people who actually enjoy their job.

Applicants love the CVI because it tells them how they are hardwired with clarity and accuracy.

The CVI costs less than $50 and only takes 8 minutes to complete.

The combination of the CVI and Top Performer Profile is where the best vocational matches are made.

Get your job out of the friend zone and find the job you really love with the CVI and TPP today.
