The Sales Manager represents the EWL brand to private label customers and represents the private label customers to the company. The Sales Manager oversees and executes significant revenue with aggressive year-over-year growth to meet annual goals in subsequent years. The Sales Manager is responsible for developing a high-performance team that interacts professionally with other departments and with customers.
The Private Label Sales Manager works with a team of account executives and our cosmetic formulators to take concepts for skin and body care products to finished retail goods. The Sales Manager manages the sales pipeline and revenue targets, and maintains an in-depth knowledge of the private label business metrics. The Sales Manager mentors sales personnel on how to expand individual accounts, as well as each account executive-s overall book of business. Additionally, the Sales Manager oversees and facilitates development of new accounts, and collaborates with marketing, cosmetic formulators and product R&D, sales administration, production, and customer care as needed to achieve departmental goals. The Sales Manager maintains awareness of the private label customer experience, and reports to management as needed to ensure an exceptional customer experience. The Sales Manager is responsible for problem solving customer accounts, and for negotiating with other departments to deliver the customer-s products on time and on budget. The Sales Manager trains, holds team members accountable, creates and manages SOPs, and provides regular staff reviews.
ResponsibilitiesEstablish monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals by account executive. Approve monthly commissions. Daily interaction with sales team to ensure projects and sales are moving forward efficiently and with the information needed to ensure successful delivery of the customer-s products. Review accounts and strategize for growth, including problem solving, customer messaging, and support. Ensure sales processes are followed and works to improve processes as needed to streamline sales activities. Evaluate, assign, and track new business leads. Review quotes and negotiate pricing if needed. Lead weekly production review meetings. Prepare and participate in customer meetings. Prepare and review daily and weekly reports. Participate in marketing meetings and deliverables as required. Participate in weekly management meetings.
QualificationsREQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum of three (3) years account-based sales experience required, plus a minimum of one (1) year in sales leadership. Cosmetics industry knowledge a plus. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proven track record in consultative, account-based sales, and in leading and developing sales teams in fast-growth companies. LEAN Sales or Manufacturing experience a plus. Staff development experience; creating high-performance teams. Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple, simultaneous projects. A high degree of initiative and the ability to work independently and deal with a high volume of work amidst distractions and time pressures. Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing. Skilled in the development of effective working relationships with all levels of management, vendors, and the general public. Ability to problem solve in a calm, rational manner. An even temperament and continual positive outward nature which projects a positive, professional public image and contributes to the morale of the office. Personal computer skills.
